| Mar. 13, 1970 | The Japan Hydraulics & Pneumatics Association was established. |
| Dec. 20, 1982 | Ministry of Education granted permission to establish the Japan Hydraulic & Pneumatic Society. |
| Feb. 1, 1983 | The Japan Society of Hydraulic and Pneumatics was established. |
| Mar. 13, 1989 | The first JFPS International Symposium was held in Tokyo. |
| Sep. 6, 1993 | The second JFPS International Symposium held in Tokyo (since then, it was held in autumn, every three years). |
| Aug. 28, 2001 | Renaming to the Japan Fluid Power System Society was approved. |
| Apr. 1, 2012 | Transition to general incorporated association was approved. |
